<b>Inspiration</b> is (we might use the example) when God takes a blank piece of paper and uses men to write his words.<br />
<b>Preservation</b> is when God takes those words already written and uses men to preserve them throughout the ages.<br />
<br />
<b>Psalm 12:6,7: "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in
a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O
LORD, thou shalt</b><u> <b>preserve</b></u><b> them from this generation for ever.</b><br />
So
by Verse 6 we know that the originals were perfect. They were
inspired, they were pure words. But in Verse 7 it says "Thou shalt keep
them, O LORD, thou shalt<u> preserve</u> them f rom this generation for ever.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
What does Verse 7 therefore say? That these were "kept" and "preserved"
in a library in heaven? Ii think not. They were<b> inspired</b> on earth and
they are<b> preserved</b> and kept on earth.<br />
Did Paul and the other
apostles have the originals in their hands or did they have copies? The
Ethiopian Eunuch read from "the scriptures". Acts 8:26 - 35:<br />
<div class="_5pbx userContent" data-ft="{"tn":"K"}">
Were they the originals or were they copies? Undoubtedly they all had
"copies" by that time, but they still all had the scriptures.<b> 2 Timothy
3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness"</b> So therefore those copies were <b><u>preserved</u></b> by God himself
from the time of Moses to the New Testament times in the form of
"copies".<br />
<br />
<br />
If God preserved those copies for that space of time,
why not to this present day? What good would it have been to inspire
the originals and then let the copies be subject to errors? What good
would it be to have the originals inspired then let a translation be
subject to errors?<br />
The originals are gone, dried up, only copies
exist. And I'm sure you will agree that the copies were "divinely
protected" from error. So why is it so hard to believe that a
translation could have been also divinely protected from error?<br />
Why is it that all translations (except the King James Bible) come out
of the <b>Alexandrian and Vaticanus manuscripts? (Egypt and Rome)</b>. The
first mention of Egypt in scripture is Genesis 12:10 - 12 ""And there
was a f amine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn
there; for the famine was grievous in the land. And it came to pass,
when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his
wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:
Therefor it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that
they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will
save thee alive". So this first mention of Egypt is a negative one.<br />
Then we see Joseph sold into slavery in Egypt. Genesis 37:28 "Then
there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up
Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty
pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt."<br />
<br />
<br />
Then we
see the children of Israel persecuted in Egypt. Exodus 1:11-13
"Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their
burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and
Raamses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and
grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. And the
Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:"<br />
Egypt is called "the house of bondage" Exodus 20:2 "I am the LORD thy
God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house
of bondage." Egypt is also called "the iron furnace" Deuteronomy 4:20
"But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron
furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as
ye are this day."" <br />
The list of references is endless. <br />
<b>So what about Rome</b>? This was surely a pagan city where numerous temples
were built for the worship of pagan gods and goddesses. And to this
day Rome is the seat of the Roman Catholic church, guilty of traditions,
rituals and anti-Biblical concepts.<br />
<br />
<br />
Can we trust the manuscripts that arose out of these two idolatrous cities? I think not.<br />
The manuscripts which the King James Bible was translated from were
called the "Textus Receptus" or the "Received Text", which originated in
Antioch, which was a refuge for Christians who were fleeing
persecution. Acts 11:19 "Now they which were scattered abroad upon the
persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, and
Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to non but unto the Jews only.
We notice in Acts 11:26 that the disciples were called "Christians"
first in Antioch "Acts 11:26 "And when he had found him, he brought him
unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled
themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples
were called Christians first in Antioch. Antioch was the center of new
testament Christianity.<br />
So there we have it. Two schools of
manuscripts. One from Alexandria and Rome, the other from Antioch.
Which one do you think God would use to preserve his word? This is just
a brief outline on the subject of manuscripts, inspiration and
preservation. For a more detailed account, read "Gipp's Understandable
History of the Bible" by Dr. Samuel C. Gipp, ThD.</div>

Thou Son of God most High.<br />
All praise to Thee!<br />
Glory to Thee,<br />
enthroned above the sky,<br />
Who died for me;<br />
High on Thy throne,<br />
Thine ear, Lord Jesus, bend<br />
As grateful hearts<br />
now to Thyself ascend.<br />
<br /><br />Deep were Thy sorrows, Lord,<br />
when heaven frowned—<br />
Gethsemane!<br />
Bloodlike Thy sweat, Lord,<br />
Falling to the ground<br />
So heavily;<br />
Dark was the night,<br />
but heaven was darker still,<br />
O Christ my God!—<br />
Is this the Father’s will?<br />
<br /><br />Thorns wreathed Thy brow<br />
when hanging on the tree,<br />
Man’s cruelty!<br />
Why lavish love like this,<br />
O Lord, on me?<br />
Thou lovest me!<br />
Would that my soul could <br />
understand its length,<br />
Its breadth, depth, height,<br />
and everlasting strength!<br />
<br /><br />Thy precious blood was<br />
freely shed for me<br />
On Calvary<br />
To save me from a lost eternity;<br />
Glory to Thee!<br />
Nor death, nor hell,<br />
nor things below—above<br />
Can sever me from Thy eternal love.<br />

Thy love can know no bound;<br />
Thou lovest me!<br />

I’ll praise Thee still for <br />
Calvary’s mercy seat. <br />

<br />
Genesis 6:14 - 16: "Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou
make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And
this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark
shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the
height of it thirty cubits. And this is the fashion which thou shalt
make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the
breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A
window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it
above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with
lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it."<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Verse 14:
"Make thee an ark". There are three arks mentioned in scripture; the
ark of Noah, the ark of bulrushes, and the ark of the covenant. The ark
of Noah sheltered Noah and his family from God's wrath. The ark of
bulrushes sheltered Moses from the wrath of Pharoah, and the ark of the
covenant sheltered the two tables of the law (the ten commandments). In
these three arks we see a picture of the believer who is sheltered from
God's wrath, Satan's assaults and the condemnation of the Law.<br />
Verse 14:"..............of gopher wood". The ark was made, not out of
steel, but of wood. This teaches us that "life comes out of death".
Trees had to "die" in order that the "life" of Noah and his family were
secured. We read that the Lord Jesus Christ was "a root out of dry
ground". Therefore the whole lesson here is "Substitution", the "death"
of one for the "life" of another.<br />
Verse 14:"............rooms
shalt thou make in the ark". Rooms here suggest "a place of rest"
coming from the root word "Gen" meaning "nest". Rooms are a place of
rest and in my Father's house are many mansions (resting places) where
surely the redeemed shall have eternal rest.<br />
Verse
14:"............and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch". Oh
what a picture here! Pitch in Hebrew is the word "Kapher" and it means
"to cover". A similar word in our new testament is "atonement" which
also means "to cover". Our sins are "covered" by the precious blood of
our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. So the ark was covered within and
without with pitch. So it is true of our "sin", covered within and
without with the precious blood of the Lamb. Oh, what a book could be
written on the word "Pitch".<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<br />
Verse 16:"..............A window
shalt thou make to the ark. One window here and it is finished "above".
Does this not remind us to "set your affections on things above, not
on things on the earth" (Colossians 3:2). Those in the ark could only
"look up" for an outside view and so we are so admonished "And when
these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your
heads: for your redemption draweth nigh". (Luke 21:28)<br />
Verse
16:".............and the door of the ark". Jesus said "I am the door".
There was only one door into the ark and there is only one door into
God's Heaven - that is through the Lord Jesus Christ.<br />
Verse
16:"..............thou shalt set in the side thereof". In the side of
the ark was the door. Do we see here the piercing of our Lord's side
(John 19:34) where it was the way for lost sinners to come into the
heart of God.<br />
Verse 16:"...............with lower, second and third stories". Three stories, three lessons.<br />
Our salvation is indeed a three fold salvation. We have been saved
from the penalty of our sin. We are being saved from the power of sin
and shall yet be saved from the presence of sin. It is a salvation that
embraces each part of our three fold make-up; the body, soul, and the
spirit.<br />
<br />
<br />
Genesis 7:1 "And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and
all thy house into the ark, for thee have I seen righteous before me in
this generation".<br />
"Come thou and all thy house into the ark".
Here it is -- an invitation to all. Come into the ark or as we read in
the new testament "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).<br />
Matthew 24:36: "But as
the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be".
In the time of Noah the ark was their shelter from the judgment of God,
and so with us. The Lord Jesus Christ is our shelter against the
judgment of God.<br />

<b> The origins of the phrase stemmed from the fact that, initially, all roads did lead to Rome.</b><br />
<b>
The Romans were extremely skilled road makers...and the first to
establish such a system of roads. They were also the first to use
mile-markers.</b><br />
<div class="text_exposed_show">
<b> The Romans designed
their roads purposefully so that they all led to Rome, with Rome the
central hub. This was done to hinder provinces from organizing
resistance against the Empire.</b><br />
<b> While this is true all around us,
there is a way of escape.for the born again blood bought believer in our
Lord Jesus Christ. Open up your KJ Bible and be a Berean by testing all
things by scripture to see if these things be so that is happening all
around us. And "take a stand", but be sure of one thing, its going to
cost you dearly. You will be excluded, shunned, criticized and mocked.
It is the "narrow way", walk ye in it and before long we will be in the
presence of the Lord.</b></div>

But when he was yet a
great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell
on his neck, and kissed him.</b></span><br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b> 15:21 And the son said unto him,
Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more
worthy to be called thy son.</b></span><br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b> 15:22 But the father said to his
servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring
on his hand, and shoes on his feet:</b></span><br />
<div class="text_exposed_show">
<span style="color: blue;"><b> 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:</b></span><br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b> 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.</b></span><br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b>
Upon repentance,as we see in this narrative,we see the heart of our
heavenly Father towards us who have lived in squaller, have lived in the
pigsty of sin and rebellion. yet we see our Father seeing us afar off,
filled with compassion, ever eager and ready to forgive.</b></span></div>

tying a rope around one of their massive legs and attaching it to a peg
in the ground? Can the peg and rope really hold back an elephant?
Absolutely not!</b></span><br />
<span style="color: red;"><b> Then why does it work? Because elephants grow up
believing it will. Maybe they tried pulling away when they were young
with no success. Maybe they were injured by their action. After enough
failures, they stop trying. They no longer test the restraint, and con<span class="text_exposed_show">fine themselves when tethered to the rope.<br />
This object lesson can certainly teach us about adopting false biblical
habits when only a babe in Christ. We assume, like the elephant, that
the way we believe and do things can never be changed- we are holden of
it.<br /> All that mature elephant need do is lift his leg and the rope
restraint will snap like a twig. <u>We too, can read afresh the scriptures
and just walk away in total victory.</u> What are your restraints? Are they
Calvinism, unscriptural traditions, the version debuckle, materialism ,
etc etc? You be the judge.</span></b></span>art grosshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13314321219514430400noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10163791.post-23520586199281978392015-07-03T17:56:00.002-07:002015-07-06T19:46:21.220-07:00<a href="http://www.kingjamesbiblesociety.org/">http://www.kingjamesbiblesociety.org/</a><br />
